Citronella?
I thought those only kept them away.
These are already inside the house.

Doesn't set the house on fire.
Doesn't involve cats.
Won't fvck up my DNA.
Isn't expensive.
etc...

They have a very short lifetime, so they'll die on their own. But I'd really check out for their food source - no food, no bugs. Potatoes are notorious (especially if you get a 5 lb or 10 lb bag and have a rotten one in the middle that you can't see). Check onions, tomatoes, or any other food source that they may have access to.

Every infestation I've ever had (3 in 27 years of life) were due to a rotten potato.

Based on your criteria, you should infest your house with spiders. Thanks for playing.

I'm personally are totally freaked out by flying inspect. So to get rid of them I use *don't laugh* - the vacuum cleaner...

Raid is my best friend. I've used it to kill about everything I've come across.. even large black crickets that somehow snuck in.

I get small tiny blackish flying stuff in my house, but that's from plants. They spawn from the soil so if you want to kill the source you could give your plants a few bursts of any air-propellant pesticide.
These things sure are annoying when you're playing a FPS and you think there's enemy movement only to find your crosshair on a bug on the monitor :frown:

Flies? ... check for dead rodents within your walls or around the perimeter of your house.... or even your car. One time my uncle had a rotting squirrel next to his truck engine....fried maggots anyone?
