Once again the Supreme court demonstrates it isn't fit to render justice.

What could be more important than that the Supreme Court have the trust of the people, an body of judges full of illegitimate appointees put there by a Mafia organized Senate. Scum.

Thanks Bernie Bros for 2016.

But at least half of the country will be happy with this, I suppose. Depending on what happens when they finally get around to hearing it, guess it opens the door for SCOTUS to strike down whatever redistricting gains Democrats have recently gained.

A lower court already ruled the map was racially discriminatory. This court is on board with letting shit like that happen.

And they have the nerve to wonder why the public think they are a bunch of political hacks. Who says Republicans aren't racist?

Not racist. Just #1 with racists, nazis, neo nazis, KKK, white supremists, proud boys, booger boys.. I'm sure I've missed a group, and for that I apologize.

Two of the three members of the federal court panel that ruled unanimously are Trump appointees. Not exactly radical liberal activist judges.

Looks like at least a couple of those judges are administering payback for the "witch hunt style treatment" they got at their confirmation hearings. Can't wait for a case involving corporate largesse at the expense of the working class and the poor to appear at their doorstep.

We need 50 court packing filibuster killers in the Senate.
Funny thing is that even a couple years ago when I told my liberal friends that Democrats would eventually have to pack the courts, they were aghast at interfering with the judiciary. Not so much now.

4-5? Thanks Trump? The Racist legacy of Pres DJT.

Just imagine, Trump during his next term (or terms, if he decides to ignore the Constitution) will likely get to appoint at least another SCOTUS judge (or two???). That's like ~half of SCOTUS filled by one person.

NATURALLY this Trump court is going to let discrimination happen. Why not???
And Clarence Thomas? Shame on him. That SOB thinks he is a white man, and a member of the KKK to boot. Absolutely insane.

Like I said in another thread, race discrimination is alive and well, only the tactics have changed.
I'll say it again... ONLY THE TACTICS HAVE CHANGED.
In other words, they are getting better at it. A lot better.

Now... just wait until some red state goes after the LGBQT and marriage equality. Some red state this very moment is busy scripting a challenge to marriage equality and it will make its way up to this Trump court. You can take that to the bank.

When faced with a direct attack upon the utmost inalienable right-the right to vote-this so-called Court decided that it would be inconvenient the upload the lower courts' rulings because it would be a burden to the state politicians. Since when did politicians' interests supercede those of the populace they are supposed servants of (as opposed to rulers).

We are definitely in end stages of the collapse of the great American dream. And we did it to ourselves, for the most minor and petty of reasons.

All this over Congressional districts.
Make them follow county lines. Still plenty of game to be played between counties if you need to combine some, but at least you'd be stuck with what you have and unable to just make up crap.

Districts need to be very close in population size when drawn to meet the equal representation requirement. Very seldom can you do that only with county lines.
