Let's argue that it was real. That still doesn't explain why he need to be executed immediately!

That's kind of where I land on this as well. I hate the stupid angelic narrative our crap media pushes, pretending it was just a sweet little angel buying iced tea and skittles ....errrr.... playing with a toy who got mowed down. However, I don't think it's appropriate for a cop to start shooting within a second of pulling up unless the boy actually really pulled out the gun to and aimed it at them -- and I don't think that happened.

Are you really okay telling cops not to risk their personal safety at all? If so, then you can expect a lot more of this. Personally though, I would prefer to hire courageous individuals that are willing to put the safety of society before their own, and pay them accordingly for doing so.

You are NEVER going to find a million people who are willing to put the lives of a possible perp (a suspect wielding a gun) over their own. That just doesn't make sense.

It just sucks how it all turned out in this case.

How is "driving to the scene of a reported gunman threatening passers-by" not risking "their personal safety at all?" I didn't hear of anyone anyone else rushing to the scene. :colbert:

How does pulling right up within 10 feet of a potential threat and jumping out before the car stops not risking "their personal safety at all?"

So is it normal to charge people for ambulances when shot by police? That's taking the fuck barrel to whole new depths.

So, a criminal who shoots and cops and gets shot in return shouldn't have the cost of emergency services he caused added to his charges?

Of course it's normal. That's like saying someone who rams a police cruiser isn't responsible for the damages when shot by the police.

Why do you people (as in neocon teaparty yeehadists) love these strawman arguments so much?

Umm, not only did he not shoot at officers but it was a 12 year old kid that got shot within 2 freaking seconds of the officer showing up and he didn't even have a firearm. Just a tad bit of difference.

That was clearly not the standard being applied here.
So? You failed to word your question in a way that didn't have an an OBVIOUS answer, so I answered OBVIOUSLY.

Why do you people (as in neocon teaparty yeehadists) love these strawman arguments so much?
What argument are you even talking about? He asked a question. I answered it. Nothing I said had anything to do with Tamir Rice so that it would be clear he was asking the wrong question.

Not sure where you got the impression that I am a "neocon teaparty yeehadists."

you are way to fucking stupid.
...and, what? You're too smart to understand that I was not referring to Tamir Rice as a criminal in any way? Obvious question had obvious answer, genius.

So? I answered HIS question.

As a refresher, here's the question again:
"So is it normal to charge people for ambulances when shot by police?"
Answer:
Yes. It is perfectly normal for people shot by the police to be billed/charged with things. Durr. Here's a really obvious and common scenario you seem to be ignoring: ...
Next time, try asking the right question so you won't look so stupid.

They settled, maybe if they pushed the courts to proceed and hadn't taken the money those people responsible would have been fired/arrested.

Why would the civil case have anything to do with the criminal case? They already decided not to go forward with a criminal case a while back.
