I was wondering if anyone found some drivers to allow the soundcard to use the optical output for all sound in all programs?

If you want a cheap card to do digital optical out, the Chaintech AV710 works.

You wont get surround sound in games through digital unless you get a card that does DDL.

What are you hooking up to? (speakers)
