Onboard sound

Motherboard with C-media 6 channel audio can play demo's that came with software. and all speakers work o/k. but when playing a CD theres no sound from the center speaker.got 5.1 enabled anybody know whats wrong

CD audio is only stereo sound. There's nothing for the center speaker to play. MP3's will do the same thing.

Yep... unless you have one of those sound cards that expand it to all speakers...

Like and Audigy 2 for example, it does various DSP like Pro Logic.
