Onboard sound for DTS-MA

I am just curious as to what onboard sound cards are good enough to decode DTS-MA.

Can the Realtek 883 do it? Does the 888A do it?

I am better off just scrapping the onboard sound and getting a third party card?

I will be using the analog outs to my receiver (Onkyo 805).

I am all but certain there is no onboard or add-on card which can decode the new surround formats. I believe if it is done it is done in software.

Thanks for the info, i am a little curious why the Gigabyte boards say Blu Ray ready, could you elaborate on what that means exactly.

Interesting. First time I have seen that. Looks like it does support decoding of the lossless audio formats provided you connect via analog connections.

Thanks you for making me aware of these new onboard chipsets. Not even realtek's site(as crappy as it is) has any info on them.
