Onboard Sata Raid Bandwidth filled by Raptors??

Being ignorant to the onboard Sata, I'd like to know if a striped pair of Raptors is a waste?

Will two 7,200's perform just as well?? I'd hate to think so, but as I said I'm ignorant to these onboarders 🙂

I believe 2x 74 GB raptors in RAID 0 will come close in an ideal situation. It definitely won't be a waste as you'll still get the added benefits of lower seek time etc.
