Can you disable the Highpoint RAID controller on say, an ABit TH7-II, or similar ABit board, and free up whatever IRQs it takes?
I read somewhere that the onboard RAID controller does take up IRQ slots, but I assume you can disable it, and this should be transparent to the OS.
