onboard or pci/nf4

is it better to use onboard gigabit lan on a nf4 board or a pci 10/100 card for cpu and other performance. on a cable line

The nf4 onboard will have a dedicated bus so its probably better to use it. Furthermore it has TCP/IP checksum offloading which reduces cpu usage and as it isnt using up pci bus bandwidth it will leave more available for other pci devices. eg soundcard etc etc
