I've got an Epox 8RDA+... and the onboard LAN stays on even when I turn the system off. Is this right? It is connected to a linksys router though.. that may be why but my Gigabyte GA-7VAXP didn't do this.

As long as the power supply is connected to a live outlet, the NIC light will stay on. Completely normal. :)

Oh right the light yeah :)

I thought most mobo's light stayed on when there was power to the machine (Even if turned off)

Okay I wasn't specific enough... but I mean, if I look at the back of the case, the green light that shows activity stays on.. it's not flashing but it's on.. plus the status lights on my router stay on too as if the system was still on.

This mobo probably supports wake-on-LAN, in which case it would have to have power to the LAN port in order to give the signal to come back up. If you ever look at a motherboard that's plugged in with the system off, there will often be at least one small diode that stays lit.
