I've got a 3870 vid card hooked up to my desktop monitor and my lcd tv and was interested in using a 3rd monitor on my desktop(2 desks + 1 tv). I have the 780G mobo that has onboard vid and wanted to ask if anybody knows how to set this up. Thanks.

This has been an extremely common question over the last decade or so.

The simple answer is no. Installing a discrete graphics card automatically disables onboard video on most mobos. There are a few mobos that allow you to re-enable onboard graphics in the BIOS, but from what I've seen by other posts, you simply get a message before Windows starts loading that a discrete card was detected and you're totally SOL.

You'll need another video card.

Actually, the 780G has something called Surroundview that lets you hook up multiple monitors as long as you are using an Ati card. Finally figured out I had to turn it on in the mobo bios and its working perfect. Now I've got two PC monitors on my desk and my 32inch LCD TV all connected and there is still room for a 4th display. Just wish Ati had a guide of some sort to help out with this.
