Onboard GeForce 6100 or ATI Radeon 9500 Pro?

I have to get a new motherboard. Which would be faster, onboard Geforce 6100 or using my ATI Radeon 9500 Pro board?

If I use my ATI Radeon then I will get a motherboard with AGP, and my computer guy tells me a MB with PCI Express slot would be better for the future. Im confused (and on a low budget)..

If I take the onboard Geforce 6100 MB, then which is the cheapest PCI Express graphics card would let me get same gameplay levels as ATI Radeon 6500 Pro?

Don't get AGP. It's on its way out, and the newer cards are PCI-Express only. A 6100 should be good enough. It's about the level of an X600, which is basically an underclocked 9600.

definitely skip the agp board. there are almost no new video cards for agp, and when the new stuff rolls around, there will probably be none.

i'm stuck w/ a 9800pro right now with my agp board, and by the time i'll want a video card upgrade, i'm gonna end up needing almost an entire new rig because i'll need PCI Express.

9500pro is the bomb! but its AGP, i wouldnt buy a new AGP mobo today unless its a stellar price.

you should get a nice price for the 9500pro....i have one too and its a unbefrigginlievably good card.

or go with ribbon13's (hey dude!) suggestion and get the best of both!
