Excuse the non-technical talk, I'm not good with sound.
So with the Asus board there are 6 audio connectors, 2 sets of three.
The line out, line in and mic work just fine with everything, and are detected by the Realtek audio config program.
The other 3 (for surround) used to work fine with my Logitech 540's but now they don't seem to be detected properly. The config utility shows that there is a set of speakers connected to each of these jacks when there isn't anything connected.
Updated the drivers and BIOS without success, don't even know where else to go short of a format (would really like to avoid that)
ANY thoughts?(hardware? software) I'm really lost.
Edit: also, I'm willing to consider just buying a cheap sound card that would support a 4-5satellite +sub setup if thats gonna be easier, but I'm happy with the quality of the sound right now.
