Onboard Audio vs. Audigy

I've got an CL Audigy 1 Soundcard....I use it for gaming, audio - and have it connected to a DTT-2500 so I can choose 4-channel audio, 5.1 etc. through CL's Audigy drivers...(have it connected through a digital port and the audigy's digital DIN...

I also just ordered an Abit NF7-S 2.0 for my new rig...
Is the onboard audio any good? Worth still using the audigy?

If you have an Audigy I don't see why not use it. But nForce SoundStorm is pretty sweet. It sure saves a bundle and sounds good too.

Try both see which is better to you. The onboard does save a PCI slot though. Remember to disable the onboard if you put the Audigy in, possible compatibility issues.

I have an ASUS A7N8X deluxe and the sound is pretty good, much better than my previous Sound Blaster Live Player 1024, and performs really well. I'm using 5 speakers with great sound.
