Onboard audio failure on Epox 8RDA+; can I disable for PCI 4.1 card?

I just bought a 4.1 DSP by MADDOG, and I hope to use that in my WinXP machine (see sig). So far not a peep.

You want to turn off the onboard sound? Is that correct?

If so, you do it from the BIOS.

Dohhh!
I tried that, cause that was the only thing that said audio. Still, WXP didn't detect the new card for me to canel and do setup.exe. Card goes back.

Update: 8/18/04 11am MST.
I positioned the card in a different PCI slot and I now have joy.
