If i get a motherboard with onboard audio, but i still want to use my sound card, will i run into any problems ? Also does anyone know how i can check the voltage usage by my nVidia Riva TNT 2 video card. Thanks

Most boards are coming with integrated sound but it is easily disabled in the BIOS settings. I use the integrated sound on my new rig and it's not that bad. You can still use your SB-Live card and it will better than the on-board sound.

Not too sure about the voltage thing. If you mean AGP voltage then check in you BIOS settings. :)

I was wondering this as well. I have no use for onboard audio because I'm using high end sound cards, but the board I want (IWill XP333-R) has it.
If I disable the audio, will there be any conflicts at all?

It's absolutely sure that disabling the onboard audio is a simple procedure that leaves no conflicts for someone who just wants to use his PCI sound card.
But to take the issue a bit further-Does anyone know if the onboard audio can substitute the additional sound card I use for monitor when I run DJ mixing programs? I mean, can the onboard audio work simultaneously with my primary sound card in any way?
