My system rocks, check my rigs for detailed specs, but I seem to have a problem with the onboard audio. I've tried every driver for this thing out there, I've though about flashing the bios from rev1.0 to rev1.1 but msi doesn't mention any fixes to the audio, so I'm hesitant to run the flash. When I play any somewhat strenuos games I either get very lound static or the system locks up hard after about 1 minute of gameplay. I've ran dxdiag and have error testing hardware acceleration(not sure if this codec even has hardware acceleration so this may not mean anything) on the sound and audio portions. It also intermittantly quits working(i.e. no sound) when multitasking with media player or winamp playing mp3's, seems to have no preference on background applications. MSI is being a little slow to return my e-mails for tech support, I just crossed 48hrs at 7:00PM Central time today(10-23-02). Has anyone else had experience with this mobo/codec that could give pointers?

edit: Nevermind, I figured it out myself by very meticulusly going over the individual chips on the pcb. The driver software auto detects the chip as a c-media ac'97 controller, but it's actually a realtek alc650 controller, got the right drivers and everything is peachy.
