Personally, with a small percentage of politicians trying to do the right thing, I still have a problem damning them all.

How about, fuck off and die all chickenhawks? Cheney, Bush, Drumpf - all of the entitled pro-war pussies who dodge the draft (or go AWOL) but have no problem sending others off to die, who will talk down to, lecture and insult combat veterans and POWs about war like they have an idea. These types usually find a way to personally profit from the misery they've set into motion wrt troops too, look at Cheney's Halliburton money, or Bush and Drumpf both skimming off the top of funds raised for veterans.

On this Memorial Day, I would hope Americans consider the chickenhawk as well as the warrior, and realize voting for the former doesn't support the latter. Or do we need another moron to give us another elective war that consumes thousands of American lives and $7 trillion (interest included) before we get the idea?

The Vietnam war was a fucking mess. The soldiers were slaughtering and raping with impunity. It would have been more honorable for the soldiers to refuse the deployment, than to go off and contribute to that horror.

Our soldiers are honorable, but they've been hoodwinked. The shame is that we spend more than the next, (20?) countries, combined, on our military, yet a full time job at McD's pays more than our lowest paid enlisted men receive. When soldiers were in Iraq and Afghanistan, they asked for care packages with gum, toilet paper, candy bars, etc. What?! Those things weren't provided in huge quantities to keep up morale? The cost of one jet would provide more candy bars, gum, toilet paper, magazines, etc., than all of our military men could possibly consume in a lifetime. Make no mistake - our politicians use our military to make their friends rich, while not really caring about out soldiers except 2 days of the year.
