On the topic of inappropriate halloween costumes...

Our church is having a "Fall Family Festival" (by the way, anyone near my neck of the woods in the East Bay, CA area is invited) and I am helping to work at it. It will be at our church and we are inviting community members to join us for some safe fun with games, candy, and stuff. We are supposed to dress up in costumes b/c it is sort of a halloween alternative. Would it be in appropriate to wear a devil costume?

Can I come dressed up as jesus nailed to a cross? I could have that fake blood stuff on my hands and a cardboard cross on my back.

Wear the costume and then when they gasp say, "Well I was going to go as Bush but I thought that I would go as something a little less evil." 😛

Not scary enough. If you really want to scare kids dress up as a priest.

heh...pretty funny. I like GW Bush so that won't work. But it gives me an idea to go as Dr.(Dougie) Evil

"Sweet creeping zombie jesus!"

Put together political correctness and fear of the non-Christian occult, and most everything is likely to offend somebody.

Hmmm, maybe:
- inanimate natural objects (rocks, trees)
- man-made objects (desk, computer, file cabinet)
- non-controvesial employment choices (banker, doctor, fireperson) -- but most coubld be objectionable for females to any Promise Keepers at the party.

Sounds like fun!

My friends and I went into this halloween shop, and found a priest cosume with a "pump." Needless to say, when you press the pump, the priest become's "happy."

Heh...has anyone seen the new Starburst commercials where the guy gets Starburst out of the vending machine, and then as he's walking back down the hall, the filing cabinet comes to life (a guy was disguised as a filing cabinet) and steals the starburst from him. Then another guy disguised as a wall comes out and steals it from him...Then there's the other one where the kids are hitting a pinata, and the pinata comes to life to steal the starburst...They're all hilarious.
😀
