On the subject of Call of Duty demo. . .

I played the level and then changed the resolution to the highest setting ( I just got the fx5900 ultra) which is 2048 x 1536. I wasn't thinking at the time and failed to realize my monitor doesn't support that resolution. When I did so the game exited. When I try to get back in the console pops up and says (among other things):

GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the demo. Anyone know what's wrong?

Ok seriously now - my monitor does not support that res. When I set the game like that I just scrolled down to the highest, I wasn't thinking. The problem is that even after reinstalling the game it still tries to load the game up at 2048 x 1536.

It's likely to be because your config.cfg file is still set to the wrong mode. Find the "config.cfg" file under the "Main" directory and open it with wordpad. Find the value "seta r_mode" and change the value to one of the following and save the file. i.e.

seta r_mode "6" (1024 x 768)
seta r_mode "8" (1280 x 1024)

😉
