In a thread not too long ago (can't remember the title, so I don't know what to search for) a poster commented on getting admonished by his college for slipping adverts for his networking services under people's doors.

In response, I commented about my school's posting policies forbiding this act, even on approved documents, and I made a half-joking comment:
The little guy from the Chinese food place is like friggin GHOST DOG! He's like a NINJA and he throws the menus like SHURIKENS that fly under the doors as he flies down the hallway and disappears like cold winter wind escapes down the alley way. FU-WAH!

Sure, my comparison to ghost dog and ninjas was meant to be humorous, but the fact that they magically throw the menus and the doors and disappear into thin air is deadly serious, as this article from the College news indicates..

Students and faculty are not as concerned about residents receiving the menus as they are about how and when they are being given out.

Tyshawn Jenkins, Junior graphic design art major, said he caught one of the solicitors throwing a menu in his room while the door was open and his back was turned.

"I think solicitors of Chinese restaurants should be banned forever," Jenkins said.

McCarthy said that the situation will probably continue until the solicitors are caught in the act.

"The problem is finding them doing it. That is the hardest thing to do," McCarthy said
