On purchasing a cable modem. Best deal?

I currently own a Docsis 2.0 modem but my connection was upped so I need a Docsis 3.0 modem.

I can wait a bit. Do they usually go on sale? Any place sell them cheaper?

I was at Costco and they had the SB6141 for around $74.

That's not bad, it's 90 bucks at Newegg and Amazon. I have a 6120 for a couple years and it's been flawless.

I also have a 6120, for a couple years now. I'm on Comcast 50/10 plan, works great.

Make sure whatever you get is on the ISP's supported list:

I picked up the 6141 at Costco.

Plus the 8 down 4 up channel bonding on this model can't hurt to have. Even though I'm on 35mb down/3mb up.

Or if I do run across a cheaper modem like the 6121 should I go for that?
