on pace to break the LAMBCHOP...

you have a 3:30! man... that used to be one of my goals, being tops at TLC... but then that dude with the unlocked p4 was breaking huge records that the 1.2GHz t-birds at the time couldn't hope to touch. that and i spent $400 going to new orleans for a couple days (the first trip there cost less than $100). and now the nforce plus palo is going to make mincemeat out of the birds (and the fact that i have half a gig of ddr sitting on my desk waiting for a computer and i'm unemployed 🙁) so i won't be trying that for a while.

hmmm... dual palos on 760mpx or single palo on nforce... tough decisions... the nforce seems capable of allowing the processor to be the bottleneck in seti@home... crazy!

I'm confused (as usual)😕

The fastest time listed on the (your link) Lamb Chop Benchmark page is 3:52? I'm aware of the faster times possible with the latest AMD MP chips but not sure what your post is referencing. Are you saying that the 3:52 record is for Team Lamb Chop and that we (TA Seti) can beat it with our (your🙂) Palo's?

I'm not nit pick'ng here...just really interested. 🙂

That's what I thought you meant. And from what I've been reading and thinking about myself...there are going to be a lot of TeAm members beating TLC's record. 😀😀😀

i think that you're a little confused. the system's already been assembled and was used to get the 3h32min benchmark time.

I admitted to that earlier on the thread. 🙂 Confusion is SOP for me. 😱

Have you already posted your detailed system specs? Motherboard, Memory, and such...?

1.0ghz/266mhz @ 1.44ghz/322mhz:Q

That's a fsb of 161 MHz!!! Jez man, what kind of ram do you have? What does that make your PCI/AGP bus speed? 40.25/80.5 ???

Yeah, you should submit it. And in the "Other" part of the chart, put in some TA stuff. 😉

yeah, people have gotten over 200mhz fsb with lower settings, but it doesn't help their scores too much. you have to hit a really high fsb to make up for the low RAM timings, plus you have to up the voltage to 2.2v, which is way over the 1.75v default.

as for my setup, it's the standard 8k7a/crucial setup that everybody's using. the cpu tops off at 166mhz fsb at 8-8-6-2-2-2-2. to get any higher i'd have to lower the timings.
