I believe the S stands for 'sport.' There is also and ic = 2-door convertible. Usually the i and is models usually really close in price. The iS may be a little more desireable because it's more of a sporty 2-door than the boring 4-door (i). The biggest differientiator in price will be whether it's an automatic or manual.
