On-Off Button Sticking

I bought following from http://kasecom.com/default.php 2 years ago:

TT561B Black Metal PC Mid Tower

The PC's On/Off button (front of the case) is sticking. When I push the button, the PC usually comes on for a few seconds, and then dies. After several pushes, it "catches" and the PC stays on.

Any one have similar problems? Any recommendations? Can I fix this by oiling the switch? If so, what kind of oil and can I buy it on the internet?

Yes cleaning it will help a lot especially if you have some nasty dried out crap like soda or juice.

-Got cleaning wipes?

Your link doesn't seem to work.

Probably not the switch at all. Check it with the resistance part of a DMM (Digital Multimeter) - or just move the reset button connector over to the power button pins and see if it works any better using the reset button - I doubt they both could be bad.

Most likely a PSU issue - not presenting the "Power Good" signal properly, gimpy +5V Standby rail (some mobos need more than 2.0 Amps on the Standby rail to work properly with any kind of load present on something like USB kbd/mse or anything using the standby power like Power on Kbd or Power on LAN, etc.). Or overload on any of the major rails.
