Confessor released

Confessor is the final, concluding book in the Sword of Truth series. Once this comes out, it won't matter what book I'm reading, it will be put on hold. :)

Another series I'd like to read, at least I won't need to wait for it to be finished, I hate waiting for new books in a series :p

Give me a one paragraph synopsis of the storyline so I can decide if I want to read this. The last epic I read was The Dark Tower series.

thank GOD.. the first 5 were very good - especially The Wizard's First Rule - that was unlike any book i'd ever read. however, the last few delved too deeply into ideology instead of sticking to it's action packed predecessors that left you wondering "what in the world can happen next".

Most excellent.

I will be sad not to see anymore Richard or Kahlan, but excited to see what T.G. has in store for us in another universe

I kept up with the series through the Pillars of Creation, but Naked Empire is currently sitting on my bookshelf, unread. Maybe this will finally spur me to finish it, and then to work my way through Chainfire and Phantom as well.

That is very good news. I like the characters, and he does a pretty good job of keeping the action up, but the overall result was starting to get a bit long in the tooth if you ask me. I think its probably a sign that you might want to wrap things up when you have a trilogy within your series of books.

I stopped keeping up when he went so far as to make a prequel. The first few were great, he should have ended it quicker.

Pillars of Creation was the worst book, IMO, but it did introduce some crucial plot elements that become important later.

Chainfire and Phantom were much better books, though Chainfire was a little preachy. Phantom didn't have near the number of speeches in it.
