On Netscape 6.1 is it possible to get the bookmarks to go side by side instead of the endless scroll down?

I like the old way the bookmarks are handled, like 4.77. This endless scroll down sux. That and not being able to drag the bookmark exactly into the position where you want it.

And for those that are going to say use IE. IE is ok but I hate the way it scrolls. It annoys the heck outta me. I only use IE when I have no choice.....:|

I don't think it is possible without a program mod or re-write. It's too bad that Netscape chose to follow the WORST part of IE . . . having to scroll favorites. I have never figured out why Microsoft is so enamored with scrolling as oppsed to laterally opening up in space available.

So far I haven't met anyone who prefers to scroll. 🙁

Hmmm. I wonder if they even listen to customer feedback? If I recall correctly 6.0 was the same way. Oh well I guess we will have to just live with it until they come to their senses.....

I really like 6.1, but I hate the way they bungled the bookmarks

I'm not sure if you guys are talkig about the leftside(ala IE) bookmarks or the more traditional Bookmark button below the navbar, which is it?

Anyway, just in case you missed it, you can setup your Bookmarks just like NS Communicator! Go to Edit/Preferences/Navigator and at the bottom there are 9 choices for what buttons you want on the toolbars, select Bookmarks. If you have a lot of Bookmarks within one directory it still won't open more than one window(which maybe what you are meaning I suppose), but if you're like me it probably is a good time to clean out deadlinks or even to organize the Bookmarks better.

Yes I was referring to having multiple windows opening side by side. I have to clean out my bookmarks, but its a shame because in 4.77 you dont have to.....
