Best thing you can do to get one of these phones is to have all the nearest office depots zip codes and call office depots 800 # and give them the item #294081 ask them if they can check all those zip codes (they can enter them all at one time) to see if the item is in stock in those stores or available for shipping in the wharehouse for that area.

This phone does have one major problem though the silver paint it real thin and it chips fast and then the phone looks like crap! but for that price who gives a crap!

Yes, this deal is on fire if you happen to be shopping for Sprint service.

We bought one of these for $250 after rebate at Circuit City only a few months ago. Too bad it's past the Amex Blue pricematch time limit Anyway, it's a web-enabled phone that works on the Sprint PCS network. Lots of features - very nice. Sprint doesn't have the world's best coverage though, so buyer beware. It serves our purposes because we use it almost exlusively in the metro NYC area. If you plan to use it or roam outside of the major metropolian areas you might be better off with a different provider.

When I went to place second order for two quantities it allowed me to backorder but with backorder total is 0:00 so coupon won't go throught. This is definetly major price error, I wonder if they will honor it.

Hmmm. I already have a StarTAC so this phone can't be that different. The silver spraypaint is also kinda tacky since it looks like crap once it starts peeling.

I think I'll wait for the next generation phones to come out. In Japan they have the coolest phones. Makes ours look like they should be dispensing candy. We won't see those kind of phones for probably 3-4 years.

I just called, it's out of stock and not backorderable ANYWHERE. One great thing though is that the CS was simply WAY COOL. One of the nicest dudes I've ever spoke to. Sounds just like a DJ. Their phone ordering system was also pretty slick. An automated ordering system. Man you gotta call and try it out (even though you won't be able to order the phone)!

There is a new version of the timeport coming out for sprint this month (this is the reason for the price drop) the newer version has a multi-color led display (it looks so cool) but for the price this is still hot!

Probably Office Depot, Office Max will be pretty much similar the the clueless rep will back order you everything not in stock, while the merchandiser will never reorder these items because they are discontinued.
