On coupon codes

I'm just wondering, since all these online discount coupon codes are easily available and most people, if not everyone, knows where to get it, why is there a need to ban coupon-posting? As long as the users are not selling coupons, why is this a problem?

It was not a matter of law suits. It was a matter of ethics and the amount of time our volunteer moderators had to waste spanking naughty children who made a game out of committing fraud. We asked our members not to violate the terms of the vendors' coupon offers. When they did not, we banned all coupon numbers. Our only other alternative was to close the Hot Deals forum. That has almost happened several times.

That will not change. Our forums are computer oriented forums. We have a Hot Deals forum for the convenience of our members. There are plenty of "coupon" and "deal" sites around. We do not consider them as competition. If that is what you want, please go there. As long as you post by our rules, you are welcome to post here, too. If you can't, please stay there.
