On business trip, need something to buy wife to keep her happy! Need advice! :)

I'm away on business for the week, out of town, and I need some ideas on what to buy my wife while I am in Chicago to keep her from guilt tripping me when I get back! I would like to keep it in the $40-50 range.. She gets pissed at me when I travel places and don't bring back something for her. I am the type of person that if I want something, I buy it, if my wife wants something, she can buy it.. so I am not good at coming up with gifts for her.. if I knew she needed or wanted it I would have told her to go get it.. I need ideas on cool gifts..

Maybe you should supply some more details as to what your wife enjoys? Sports? Hobbies?

You could always go generic, and buy some DVD that has some significance to you two...tell her that it "reminded me of you", and that way, the movie'll give you a reason to be alone for a few hours.

nothing beats something that you did yourself. Write her romantic emails, write her a poem, leave surprise she'll find at home, etc...

If you're too lazy or uninspired for that, go for flowers, it never fails

She doesn't SERIOUSLY get pissed.. she just guilt trips me that I got to travel and she didn't get anything while I was gone, and had to be home all alone.. etc.. I'm just trying to think of something that would be cool/funny to get her.. She's interested in wildlife, traveling, birds, dogs...

I'm the same way... I dont understand why my gf cant buy the stuff she wants and I just pay her back...

Apparently for women "it's the thoughts that counts", even if the gift is crap...
