On board audio vs. PCI

I just got the new Epox 8K9A2+ which has AC97 on board audio and I also have a Creative X-Gamer 5.1. Which is better (no im not going to buy an audigy) from a gaming stand point. I have an old 1.2 t-bird so I would think that the one that had less cpu utillization would be better.?.?

If you wanna consider this a review....when I bought my P4B533-E and tried out the on-board C-Media (playing music, sampling and games), I never did install my Live! card. Depends on how picky you are, I'm not one of those 'experts' that can tell the minute differences in sound....😉

true, that is, until you get into nforce boards, which have fabulous on board sound...
