On Board Audio Problem (ECS - K7VZM)

I'm having a problem with onboard audio. Im using an ECS (Elitegroup) K7VZM running on W2k.

Even though windows says the audio controller is working propertly i only get static sounds from my computer. I installed the newest drivers from ECS and VIA but I still get the same results.

Whats Wrong?
