On an .edu connection, CS works May 8th, doesn't on June 13th?

Well, this is un-f-ing believable:

"The next biggest possible cause is that you are running "Deterministic Network Enhancer" which is used with Cisco and a few other VPN applications."

My house just had a Cisco switch installed the other week. I can't even query servers; various other things don't work either (BF2 demo and Xlink Kai). Things that SHOULD work. Things that DID work a month ago when I lived in another house and before the Cisco switches were installed.

Have any of you experienced anything like this? Is the Cisco firmware upgradable?

These are questions you should be asking your network admin, and if there is no network admin then i'm guessing that a cisco router/switch/firewall shouldn't have been installed.

Oh, it only gets better: the last network admin was fired a few months ago because he was so inept. He ran this Packeteer packetshaping program that he couldn't control, which basically blocked everything.
