on TDR plots... slight bumps (not noise) in the voltage indicate an inductance or capacitance that's not similar to the characteristic capacitance/inductance in the vicinity.
apparently, you can calculate the value of the series inductance or shunt capacitance by integrating Z(t) or 1 / Z(t) over the half the bump.. what the hell is this
I don't believe it's another way of writing the standard definitions for L or C.
