On a scale of 1 to 10, how much of a geek are you?

the lim as b approcahes +infinity of the integral of (x^2)(cosx) from 0 to b.

i really think you should have you scale in terms of pi.😉

well on the geekometer im an 8, but i only have 1 os, and i dont fix computers for a living.

yeah..some of the options in the poll are not quite...that flexible. I apologize for that.

I have a feeling on your scale, there'll be a lot of 8's.
nobody's going to admit that they'd rather play w/ a computer than a girl.

Your scale sucks. I've got 3 computers on a network here, but they're all only running one OS each and I dont fix them for a living.

I'll go with 6.

I agree. But I don't think Skywalker will admit to being a 10 on the Geek scale.

I tried to be creative...😛

I admit the poll doesn't work for everyone

True. That would make him "10/10" on some scale, which he'd consider as Pride, the ultimate deadly sin, and then he'd have to go pray for forgiveness in a church ... while fantasizing about having a life that didn't suck. 😀

I have three computers on a network, but don't run multiple OS's and don't fix computers for a living (although I do it as a hobby). Going by your scale, I'd say 6, by society's scale, I'd say 8.

The description for 8 doesn't really match it's severity.

what would you propose for number 8?

I would swap u to 6 and move the other two up. and the multiple OS can also say " I use an OS other than Windows reguarly" not counting OSX ofcourse

7.5

Got multiple OSes, 2 comps on the network with a third sitting here waiting for me to fix it. Used to have it on as well...

quick question for you...

you don't find having at least 3 computers in a home network to be more geeky then a 6 on 10?

edit: on thursday night when a girl came over to my place she found I was an uber geek by seeing 4 computers in the living room. mind you, 2 of them were not in use, one was getting gentoo installed and one was my gateway.

i'd say 5 on the computer nerd scale, since i do moderate fixing. on overall nerd scale, im a 10!! i love chemistry/computers, and damned if i don't mention them every so often in a conversation

tough for me to say... i fix and use computers for work, but once im off the clock, i could care less about computers. sure i have a desktop and laptop at home, but they dont get heavy usuage. mainly just checking my email really quick before i head on out. computers pay the bills though and puts food in my mouth. a lot of people have told me after meeting me they wouldnt have me pegged as a computer person either.
