im in california, and i passed my permit test last week. it was pretty easy. i passed on the first try.

Permit? Hmm, that was the one that you take at driving school right? I say, 1 then. I passed it no problem, heck i'd say about 90% pass it. Even if you don't the driving school is corrupt and lets you take it over and over again until you do. Plus they give some freebies....

Where are you taking it from?

In California, you're able to take it 3 times at the DMV... all you have to do is be able to pass (miss no more than 8 questions I believe it was) is to get 32/40 (?) once out of 3 tries... you can basically remember the questions from the tests w/ the practices. I bet that anybody w/ an average mind capacity can memorize the answers 15 minutes before the exam... quickly run in, and rejot everything they've learned 15 minutes earlier - it's that easy in California............

I guess that's why we have so many maniacs and reckless drivers on the road??

And is it true you have to get a bodily physical for a permit? You know, I dont want some male doctor feeling my gonads and shiz. Or is it just a basic sight and hearing physical?

I thought it was super easy, but I got mine before they changed the law in NC. Now the have limited permits, etc...

All I did was sleep in the bookwork part and then go driving for 2 afternoons. then took a 25 question test which is the same questions in the back of the drivers ed handbook almost.

Im glad I didn't have to go though the limited permits. I can't imagine what it would be like to have limits on what times I could drive during the day.

Never heard of them doing that, unless you have some sort of problem and they don't think you could drive.

dude hwen i got my permit like a few months ago you could only miss 5! what a load of crapness i missed 7 (the old limit) and had to take it over again the next tiem i only missed 1 tho... i didnt study either time, but hte first time they gave me ridiculous questions (that i forgot) that werent the usual common sense ones.. just remember the numbers like how many ft. to signal from a turn or wutever, blood alcohol level to be legally drunk, etc

The people that I knew that failed didn't fail for the permit but for their actual license.
They would hit a curb, or run a stop sign, etc...

In Texas, when you take the class to get your driving permit they give you both the written and driving exams, both which are supper easy. When you turn 16, if you have taken drivers ED. they just give you your license without anymore tests.

CA permit test is a joke and driving test is also really easy.
I guess thats the reason we have so many f*ed up drivers here in LA. Some are just seriously dumb and make me wonder how in the world did they ever pass their driving test.

Well I missed 7 questions when I took mine. 1 more and I wouldn't have passed. It's good advice to read the entire question carefully before answering. I would read part of the question, or not pay a whole lot of attention when reading, and then answer. some of them weren't worded very well either.
