On a question of movies - and is the game over?

I'm puzzling over this pretty hard, and I hope maybe someone can enlighten me. Is there such a thing as a good movie? A good TV show? I used to like them both when I was a kid. Now, however, I find myself less and less motivated to watch movies, no matter how good they are. How do you think, is this normal? I'm starting to see it as a business thing, these people, actors, they're into movies and stuff to make money, but for me does it make any sense to watch the motion on the screen? I mean I understand it's all kinda BS, maybe sometimes interesting, but still a fake. I know how these movies are made, and I'm quite disappointed in them. You know, when the T3 comes out, I don't even wanna watch it, even for free.

So what's your take on these issues? how do you think?

Plenty of good stuff out there.

I thought Red Dragon was a good movie.

I enjoyed Matrix: Reloaded.

I look forward to watching CSI on TV each week (maybe being in Hi-Def helps 😉 ).

Just avoid the over-hyped, sugar-coated crap and you'll be fine

It just sounds liek you're sick of the mass media blockbuster claptrap. There are movies made by people other than the ones living in Hollywood, you know.

WO-HOO! Looks like I've scored some.

Yep, I have to agree. Maybe I been watching too much TV. Just need to relax, breathe fresh air. That's the key I think.

Heck, just noticed I turned Diamond here. How on earth could I post so much? I'm completely lost. I hope I didn't make a nef here. But then I wouldn't be a Diamond member, on the other hand.

Strange, when you turn Diamond you don't seem to feel any excitement. So what's next? Lifer? In 7K posts? Oh man... I don't think I'll ever have 10K posts. Guess I have reached my final status here - that's quite important. I'm not ever going to be anyone but a Diamond member from now on till I completely cease posting one day. So that's it. Game over I guess 🙁

Agreed. I enjoy some of the blockbusters (Matrix Reloaded, for example), but I also enjoy a lot of the movies that didn't get so much attention (Memento, for example). There's a lot of great underappreciated movies out there.
