They taught us that in my MSF class, but if you drive, your driving habits may bleed over when you're not paying attention.

I just decided to not play - it's too tough love. I'll just get a track bike if I really feel the itch in the future. At least there isn't anything heavier than about 1 ton to run me over.

Same here. I even have an internal grading system of how much bad driving I should expect based on variables such as minivan, vanity plates, bumper stickers, whether or not I can see the drivers head above the seat, etc.
Toyotas. People in Toyotas always drive below the speed limit. At least they seem to stay in their own lane. I've never had trouble passing a Toyota.

Little fecal cars often have very new drivers. Watch out. My car was written off by a dude in a Dodge Neon.

This explains how you destroyed the transmission on your Corolla.

Three close calls and a near-death in a year have taught the OP something, but not enough, as he still seems intent on riding despite obvious proof he's not going to be an old motorcyclist. Honestly makes me wonder if subconsciously he wants to die. Either that or a legendary lack of learning ability. Some people are suited to motorbikes, some aren't.
Damn. No, we definitely didn't get that speech. Wish we did.
Unfortunately, you are not yet wise enough to know how unwise you are. By that I mean, even if they'd said that you still would have crashed. You were told on the forums prior to your near-death that things were not looking good for fuzzybabybunny+motorcycle and you blissfully ignored them.
