? on a macbook air

I found a good deal on a 11.6" macbook air.

I bought it and sold it to my sister. Not realizing the previous owner left his apple id on
the machine!

Now my sister says she can't delete that id from the machine and add her own in???

Is that true? How can she get rid of the previous owners apple id? We don't know his password for his apple id.

I know how to install lion but she doesn't and the macbook is in her hands now 15hrs away 🙁. Is there anyway to do this without a full restore?

TIA!!!

She really should do a full restore if she isn't running under her own account.

Have her ship it back to you - you install Lion and then ship it back to her.

Or, . . . send her Lion. Then get her on the phone and talk her through the installation.
