Topic speaks for itself. I'm kinda looking at trading in my 02 Jetty 1.8T for a new Audi A4

If you're single/have no children

Get an Infinity G35. Nicest couple ever.

It's beautiful, elegant, fast and its shape won't ever go out of style.

And if you live in a no-slow climate.. it comes with an 18 inch rim option.. :)

What would I buy?

No thinking required -
G35 coupe.

I wouldn't mind an A4 but the one I want would be over the $37k threshold. As would the Z4 that I love.

Wouldn't mind a TSX either or an I35 (kind of long in the tooth now though).

Wow - one unrealiable car for another - good job.

ME: I'd just get an Acura TSX with Navigation and a bunch of addons, then call it a day. If I was hell bent on spending more, I'd get a TL. If I was looking for a coupe, I'd get an Infiniti G35. These 3 cars are the best equipped in their classes and for the money, plus you won't be paying for the badge on your hood, and you'll have a more reliable car to boot :p

Nissan 350Z (I like it a little better than the G35), or the RX8..both cars would be fun :)

Yea, one of my friends is really looking into buying a TSX. That's a sweet car.

Unreliable? Hardly. Aside from a coil pack going south, I haven't had any issues with my car and it still runs just as good (if not better) as the day i drove it off the lot! Believe it or not I just turned 44K miles!

Mini Cooper S

My mom has the regualr Cooper and its a total blast to drive and a very fun unique car. Safe too, saved her butt when a dumb 16 year old girl hit her going 40mph when my mom was at a stop light. Shes injured but not nearly as bad as she could have been said the Doc.

I had roughly the same budget, and I bought a 350Z. The G just doesn't do it for me. I have another vehicle, otherwise I probably would have considered a 330Ci/i as a daily driver instead of the Z as a "good weather" car.

I'm sorry, but the odds are against you. It has been PROVEN that VW has unrealiable cars, and they have some of the WORST dealers and service centers out of all the manufacturers in the US (Take a look at the JD Power and Associates website). Hell, even the Germans don't like BMW: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1134108

I'm sorry, by VW would be the FARTHEST thing from my mine, I wouldn't even consider them.

have you ever owned a VW? basing your decisions on articles you find on the web is fine, but it's a whole lot different than actually owning one.

Well if you don't like them thats fine. Just keep your opinions about MY decision to yourself. I asked specifically what would YOU buy, not what you or any other company/magazine/corporation thought of my ponderings.

Why, so I could once again prove what's already considered fact?

I would wait for the Mazdaspeed version of the Mazda3, and whatever money was left would go to new tires, rims, suspension and stereo upgrades. Whatever money was left after that would go into tuning the car.

its your money, buy whatever you want. It's easy for anyone to say "G35" on here, but I bet those that recommended "G35" on here haven't even seen one in person, or won't even test drive it when they are ready to buy a car for themselves.
