This program had been in beta for what seemed like a long time. Basically it's a totally stripped down text editor with selectable background & ambient sounds you can use to aid in your writing. I write poetry and this program definitely helps gets my mind into a more creative zone. They have a free version, and a name your price version that has some additional backgrounds and ambient sounds. Aside from those 2 things they're identical. For how simple it is, I've really enjoyed the beta version for the past 10 or so months. It doesn't have spell checking or many options outside of a few font sizes but for creative writing I find it works wonderfully and doesn't feel like it's missing anything really. I like how the UI turns invisible after a few seconds until you move the mouse. I find that helps me focus on my writing and not the program. Using it with headphones really makes it an experience, where to me word processors have always been a cold sort of program.
