So I paid my last bill on the 3rd, it was due the 7th, the billing cycle ends today the 11th. I logged into my Sprintpcs.com account to check to see if the new amount has posted yet, and I get this.

Am I just tired, or do I have a very large credit?

SCORE - Check your checks/credit cards and make sure its an error. If it's an error, buy a new phone or 3.

I paid online, the last payment is showing as what I made it for, nothing bigger. My bank is reflecting that as well, so they didn't overcharge me or something ridiculous like that.

I'm not going to tell them, but if you've ever had Sprint you'll know what I'm worried about. Their CS and billing is piss poor, I'm very worried they'll try to "fix" this and instead make it worse, like claiming that I owe them $400 or something.

Its their billing system .... you have a spending limit of $125.00 and their billing system cannot compute that info and gives you the incorrect balance. Wait 2 days and check again and you will have the correct balance. I used to work for them :(

Technically I don't have a spending limit. I'm on an employee plan through RS, they just gave us unlimited Vision downloads/purchases. I'm betting that's what caused it, as it used to be a $10/month credit, now that it's unlimited I spent like $25 or so and it has to figure out how to make that go away without charging me. Plus I only pay like $20/month for 1000 minutes and all that good jazz. I figure tomorrow it'll show up normal, still funny to see.

Man, your company got your Sprint? I really really hate Sprint. First cell phone we ever got was with them. Absolutely fvcking ridiculous customer service over the phone.

We get our choice of any carrier we sell, I chose Sprint because they had a BT phone I wanted, and I abuse the txt/pix messaging to the max. It has coverage where I need it, and I like the phones better than Vzn.

Ok, just talked to our regional Sprint rep, convo went like this:

<Me> Hey man, I got a problem with my account. Seems like there was a huge credit made to it that I didn't make. I paid my last bill on time, it wasn't overpaid by accident, yet now it says I got this huge credit or something.
<Him> Oh. I dunno?
<Me> Well umm...I just don't want to get screwed or something later by this, I know you guys like messing with people's bills. So like, if it's a mistake in your system, I suddenly won't get a bill for a few hundred bucks or whatever will I?
<Him> I doubt it. Can't be sure 100% though.
<Me> ....well, could you check then? I'll be mighty pissed if I do, cause this was a mistake by you guys.
<Him> Oh yeah no doubt...in the meantime just run with it I guess, enjoy the free service on us?

So basically, I'm worried about in the future getting the screwjob from Sprint (which they like doing) and he's telling me he doesn't care. His company just gave me a year and a half of free service by accident, and he can't be bothered to figure out how or why, or maybe it's another customer's payment they put on my account by accident, in which case that person is now screwed.

Oh well?

Were you charged some kind of security deposit when you signed up?

When I got my first cell phone I had no reall credit to speak of. They required $150 up front that was returned to me a year later when my contract was up. They didn't send me a check, and instead credited my account. It looked just like that.

I'm on an employee plan, no security deposit, plus I got great credit so they wouldn't have charged me anyways. I made sure with my bank that I didn't overpay, I make one-time payments every month so I don't have to worry about then autocharging or something like that.

Seems like either someone made a payment to the wrong phone number with a Precash payment card, or Sprint simply messed up and credited me. Either way they don't seem to care.
