<< Ok, I just heard on the news that Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, and Dennis Rodman (possibly others?) might ALL come back to the NBA and play for the Wizards for the league minimum for their age. WTF!!!!! Talk about the old geezer dream team. Though I think MJ could still be the best.
I can't find a link at the moment though...maybe someone else can help >>
This is all pretty far fetched if you ask me, but I could be wrong.
The main reason why Jordan won't come back is the money he'll lose on not being an owner. As the NBA states, an owner (even a partial one) cannot play for the team. If Jordan wants to come back, he'll have to sell/give his share of the team away to someone (probably his wife if he gives, but he may sell). This is not the case with hockey -- you can play, own, coach, whatever all at the same time.
_IF_ it all happened, getting those players (perhaps Barkley too), that would be an interesting mix. You just can't throw talent like that together and expect a championship in ONE year -- you'll need at least two. If they could get all the people back, I would have to agree that they would run out of steam near the end of the year. Its the case with Utah and it will definitely be part of the same thing for the Wizards too.
