A tip for you folks living in central IL:

If you like Chinese, you must go to this place called "Happiness" in Pekin - it's the best place I've been to - and I've eaten at various places around Chicago and Bloomington-Normal, and this place blows the others out of the water! It's scary how good their food is!

Thanks for the heads up. Next time I get back to see the rents(Peoria) maybe I'll head over and give it a try.

Any suggestions on main dishes or appetizers? Or is it a buffet?

The best chinese take-out food around me puts in tons of MSG. I get migraines from them half the time... I've since stopped going.

It's not a buffet, but rather a sit-down place. It's never busy (which amazes me with the quality of food and all) so you'd be able to go in and have a nice dinner/lunch.

Anyhoo, what I'd recommend - for appetizers, get the egg drop soup - personally, I love their crab rangoon, but my friends who I went with said that it was good, but they liked the others better - honestly, eveything there's good - esp. their "breaded" stuff like sweet & sour pork, General Cho's Chicken, etc.

It's weird, I tell ya - I eat Chinese food all the time, and I find the best Chinese Restaurant in Pekin, of all places where 99.9% of the population is rednec . . . er, white.

One more weird thing - I get sleepy after I eat their food (it's not just me - so did my friends) - even after eating leftovers I got sleepy and went to sleep . . . but it's worth it!

OMGOMGOMG! So did my mom after I told her I'm coming home this weekend! She makes the best Korean Food EVAR! And I'm going to the Chinese place next Friday (4-18) as well . . ..
