"OMG you look great, have you lost weight?"

What is it with women and weight? I just came back from a my nephew's bday party and everytime one of my sisters girlfriends came over that's all i heard.
"What diet are you on" "Wow you really slimmed down" "I think i lost a pound or two" and on and on and on.
Frankly i dont think they lost any weight since the last time i saw them, buy i didnt want to tell them that 🙂

That's how women are. A girl we know dropped 30 lbs recently and I didn't notice until it was pointed out to me (she was not a huge balloon before either; she really does look different, I just didn't notice).

because women have low self esteem and need to be told what are essentially lies all the time to feel good about themselfs

That happens when there is a nasty rumor floating around about you. They feel the need to say something nice just to make themselves feel better about you or for pity.

j/k

i go +/- 5lbs everyday - depending on what i eat.

i'll never understand what the big deal is when people say - 'ooooohh - i'm so happy - i lost 5 lbs' - and i'm just like WTF - i could just skip lunch and dinner one day and the next morning i am 5 lbs lighter.

I can seriously crap out five pounds at a time. That's why I always feel great about myself. I weigh myself, take a crap, then weigh myself again. It's awesome.

I normally get as heavy as 235 in the winter, and lean out in the summer at around 215. I hold the extra weight very well (i.e. my waist doesn't increase much at all) thus nobody really notices the extra 20 lbs much, unless my clothes are off.

Seeing how they all acted when they were complimented on their weight loss i think "have you lost weight?" would make a good pick up line when picking girls up 😀

yes, the response was "YOU MEAN I WAS FAT AT ONE POINT", follow by slapage

I fluctuate between 150 to 165, depending on how much I'm spending on groceries in a given month 😉

But yeah, popular culture has REALLY forced the idea that beauty is inversely proportional to weight.

Because you make a woman's day when you tell her that. Yes, even when it's not true.

how shallow is that? even though you know its bullsh!t, it still make the day.....

If you are a WOMAN and say that, you make a woman's day.
If you are a MAN and say that, the response is, "So I was fat before?!"

Seriously, there is no winning with most women. They'll go out of their way to find the 'bad' side of an intended compliment.
