OMG.WTF.ROLLERCOASTER.GETS.STUCK!

That's nothing, in Six Flags Magic Mountain, "Viper" got stuck at the top of the loop. Imagine being suspended upside down with the blood rushing to your head for 30 minutes until the ladder truck arrives.

the apex of that rollercoaster looks to be in the shape of a giant...

"wang! look at those people stuck up there!" "i see them father! but is it just me, or does that look like a..."

"woody! do you want some cotton candy? wait, check out that huge..." (you get the picture 😉 )

That's nothing.

I live about an hour away from Cedar Point and we go there at least once a year. When I went on Top Thrill for the first time the ride didn't make it over the hump and came back down. They sent us twice 🙂

We just went there over the weekend, when the Millenium Force got stuck for like 30 minutes. The cool thing about getting stuck is that you get free line hopping passes for the rest of the day

bahaha nuts for them. And it looks like it's going to start raining also.

--edit--
so I guess the rollcoaster gets going eventually? I shut the browser down before the end.

My wife would be freaking out. She used to love roller coasters but has developed a fear of heights for some reason. She can't stand looking down on the first hill of a roller coaster.

ive never heard of it stuck, but i have heard of it going back down the up hill.

although i was there when millenium force was stuck at the top of the first hill all day. and the employees who were on it had to get off on a crane (they get to ride prior to park opening).

Ha! They got off easy! One time, I was trying to unlock my front door, and the key wouldn't turn! I jiggled it for literally 5-10 seconds before it finally unlocked! What a rush!

Could that cause brain damage?

I've seen this happen to the turn that was right before mine.

Everybody was walkin down the stairs, all scared and sh!t. I would be scared sh!tless as well.

Wow That rides at Cedar Point? Looks crazy, last time I went there the best ride they had was the red Magnum XL200... but that was a while back.

for those that don't know, the top thrill dragster is 420 feet tall.

420 baby! Hah, imagine some 18 year old pothead getting on a ride like that with his buddies all baked out of their minds and going insane with anxiety.. trippy man.

The question is, do you really want to stay there? 😀

Being an avid member in the roller coaster community and living 20 minutes from the park, that never happened. So, shens...

That isn't the first time that has happened on Top Thrill Dragster. It's no biggie... kind of cool that with weight and speed, the train was able to achieve a perfect balance on the top of the tower. A mechanic took the elevator to the top and just gave the train a little push to get it rolling.

What nourdmrolNMT1 is talking about is a short-shot. It happens usually when the hydraullic launch system malfunctions and doesn't get the train quite going to 120mph... hence it doesn't make the top, rolls back down, into the brakes... and is usally shot off again. Happens all the time at Xcelerator at Knott's Berry Farm, which is the prototype for this sort of roller coaster (Intamin Rocket Coaster).

I saw a guy move, was that a passenger getting out of the cart?

Imagine it started moving when he stood up...:Q

EDIT : Oh, read the reply above mine.

Disregard.
