That's not really true. When they are used as Personal Data Assistants they are very useful. When they are used as mp3 players, web devices, remote controls, ftp servers, video players, etc they just geek "wow" tools.

I'd rather have a nice little VAIO notebook for wireless stuff myself.

We employ many pocket pc based barcoding units (from Symbol) with radio transmitters for "real-time" inventory. What's great about the pocket pc platform, is that with MS' eVTs (embedded visual tools), I can create eVC++/eVB applications rather quickly, and even use most of my ADO knowledge w/ ADOCE.

There are many people we work with who use their iPAQs with those portable keyboards to take notes at meeting as opposed to carrying around a laptop.

Personally, I'm working on a means to automate certain aspects of my home with an iPAQ using the X10 protocol.

I don't see having wireless internet anytime in my future for my palm pilot, I just don't need it.

its good for cheating in counter strike...

when friends gets kill, they im me to go left or right so.. before i had a notebook but now i can use the pda in tight space.. 🙂

forcesho, got a link for your wireless nic? I'm interested in buying one as well.
