Yes I'll admit it, I work for the company everybody loves to hate, UPS. Never really had any problems using them as a shipper, none of the horror stories I have read about. And beleive me, I understand where these stories come from.

But anyways, I just won and item off ebay, and it shipped monday from Oregon. I am in Ohio. I do concede this is a long ditance to cover, but the estimated delivery date is August 3rd. Thats 9 days, thats freaking crazy. Then I go and actually track the package and it hasn't even made it out of Oregon yet.

I am gonna go into work tomorrow and bust up everybody elses packages, LOL just kidding guys, there are plenty of other retards thier that will already be doing it for me.

Actually I am considering a new job at a place called calltech. IT would be doing tech support for an ISP. Not sure if this is an upgrade though, its more geared towards what I want to do, but I have heard some tech support horror stories as well. Plus its less pay per hour, more money overall though since I can get more hours.

You get what you pay for. Pay for ground shipping through UPS and it is going to take a week or more easy. This is the very reason I use the USPS priority mail....cheaper and gets there in two days or so and I have never had a single problem with them in the last 20 years.

I want to get a job at UPS so I can steal stuff, it'll be great. Or the FedEx processing center near NewEgg. Woot.

UPS ground to us from most anywhere in the Northeast is overnight or next day.

Thanks for pissin on my parade, I am just a grunt worker. Anybody could get my job, well not my job in perticular, as I am what you might call a higher level grunt worker, as I am a pickoff, rather then being one of the loaders or unloaders who destroy all your packages.

Not that I condone this, or that I have even tried, cause I haven't. But at least where I work it would be incredibly hard to steal anything very big as they make you go through metal detectors on your way out. If it was a smaller or at least a non metallic object, I suppose it would be possible, but I would never even attempt it, since I have seen too many lose thier jobs over it, and even a coupel got prosectued.

Ah yes Suzy Wa or whatever the heck her name is. I hope to God that she doesn't actually do anything that might bring her into contact with me, if I ever get a job there.

But now I am all bummed, got my new CPU, my new RAM and now I still gotta wait a week on UPS ground. I wish I would have asked what shipping method the seller was using, as I would have asked for 2 day or something better then ground. But alas, I neglected to do that, just happy I got a great deal, and now I have to wait for it.

I thought that ground can take up to 7 business days. So over a weekend that would be 9 days total.

I'm shipping stuff to college soon - is UPS that bad of a choice? Is USPS that much better:? Cause Fed Ex is way too expensive.

I used USPS for several big boxes and they arrived mostly in good shape. Just pad them obviously! I had clothing and electronics in them.

The bill was a lot cheaper then FedEx or UPS.
