Nice try.

Your post completely "fun-house-mirrored" Elita's:

"I was amazed to find that my kid had gone to the bathroom in the pool. I though for a second that maybe if I had properly potty trained my kid it wouldn't happen, but that is too much work. I didn't know what to do. So I quickly cleaned my kid with all kinds of chemicals to prevent backeria from getting her sick. I then jsut skimmed for a whiel the "Stuff" away and added lots of chemicals and that was that."

Yeah, you got me angry - I reacted to an unfair and arrogant slam on my pregnant wife.

Ask yourself why, if I "overreacted", did a bunch of people then post in agreement with my rant?

Because your first post was an attack on a much loved member of the board for no good reason.

Wrong, I was unaware of the following;

1)She is pregnant
2)Your daughter is 1
3)It was a kiddie pool

It wasn't posted in her post so how could I have known it. It looked like she posted it in good fun as well. I think you feel like its an attack on you not her. If she was pissed she would have said so.

I can't know your whole life story, just whats in the post in reference.

However you were rude to me in a personal way and called me many names, and you didn't reference posts of mine that were bad in the past but you said bad things about them. Overal Sir you were rude to no end for little cause or reason.

Her pregnancy is mentioned earlier in this very thread, BUT - thats the whole point! You didn't know and yet you still decided it would be fun to go ahead and slam her in your post. Look back at it now, are you saying your comments about her were fair?

Its an attack on my wife - attack her and just watch me react. She hasn't been online today and hasn't seen your post yet.

Then here's a thought - don't post slamming her if you don't know anything about it.

I commented on my distaste for your past posts, certainly. I didn't quote them as if anyone cares they can judge for themselves with a quick search.
And dang straight, you started something for god-knows-what reason and are now acting all shocked that someone took offense to it?

Dang straight you got me pissed off. Seems to me several people agreed with my reaction too.

Don't be surprised - if you are nasty and a jerk to people they might get mad back.

Anyway, for my own personal reasons I've toned down my language in editing the rant. The message of my anger at your thoughtless and mean comments stands, but I won't be dragged into the kind of language I'm trying to stop using.

<< I walked out to my old pool and noticed that something was on top in the water. To my surprise a bat had flown into the water, and was so waterlogged that it couldn't get out. Therefore, I took the skimmer and picked him up with it, put him back in the woods and in the shade, and I also put him where no other animals could get to him. I went to go check on him that night, and he had flown away.

Then I put huge amounts of chlorine in my pool! :)

Better than in a van down by the river. Where are you going to fit a pool there? ;)

here's one, we have a fish pond in our backyard, it's about the size of 4 big bathtubs together and about 2 feet deep.

Anyways, I let my little shih tzu Abby out in the back yard, and I leave to go play some basketball at the park.

I come back like an hour later and call for Abby, but she won't come in!

I'm like where the hell is that dog, she had gotten stuck under the porch before. So I look and look, and can't finder. My mom gets home and I tell her I can't find the dog, but she's gotta be in the backyard.

So we keep looking, then I see a strange object floating in the fish pond, its my little shih-tzu cold and dead.

This happened about 7 years ago, I got a new shih-tzu now, and honestly, I like the new dog more than the old one!

I don't have a hideous pool story to top Elita1 and mwilding's but I do have a boating "incident". I was out on a friends boat several years back and we were in the process of docking his boat to the pier. Well, I happened to slip and fall into the oily :p water as I was attempting to throw a rope onto one of the pier supports.
I swim over and climb back on the boat thinking the worst injury I sustained was wounded pride...a moment later one of the girls aboard begins to shriek! I look down and see that my left lower leg is flayed open and a seawater/blood mixture is filling the bottom of the boat! Turns out that I was scraping against an oyster bed during my plunge to the bottom (those shells are razor sharp).
Strange thing was that I felt NO PAIN for the first few minutes...I didn't even know I was injured until the girl started to scream and my buddy said "Ummmm...take a look down"!

Well anyway... I have a pool, and nothing bad has ever happened in it.

I feel left out.
