It's the next story on the news after the commercials, but apparently a girl bought lunch at her HS's cafeteria and found a THUMB. :Q

...I like to think that I have a strong stomach, but the fact that it was a human thumb is freakin' me out.

Apparently, the cafe lady in a HS in MA cut off the tip of her thumb the DAY BEFORE. And didn't report it or even find it (snicker) until today.

Why the fvck does everyone want to sue for every little thing? Sueing because you found a thumb in your sandwhich is rediculous.

Suing because a cup of coffee is ridiculous, suing because some idiotic cafeteria worker cut off her thumb and didn't say anything is exactly what I'd do...

It's one thing if you spill coffee on yourself, but if I found a thumb? Hell yeah I'd sue

Linkified here.

I imagine the student who bit into this probably could recover at least something for negligent infliction of emotional distress. Normally state, local, and federal governments enjoy sovereign immunity from suit, but there is usually at least some limited waiver of this (e.g., the Federal Tort Claims Act) to allow them to pay people injured by some kind of tort. Normally these statutes do not permit recovery of punitive damages, so the amount of recovery will probably not be especially large,

Okay, dumb ass, do I need to spell it out for you? I would not be happy about it. But I would get over it. I'd be checked for diseases, but I wouldn't fvcking sue anyone over it.

There are tons of people in the country sueing over stupid things, and it seems that you would be one of them.
